I was very lucky to shoot this turtle in daytime, because normally turtles go on land during the night to bury their eggs.

@Stephen Phillips: Yep Stephen, and I remember how unfortunate I was to loose my Ray-Ban's in the sea while in action.

Yes, the timing was good on behalf of the turtle. Odd it would still be out there at this time of day, but nothing seems to be sticking to norm these days.

so wonderful! i was hoping to make it to Guyana and Suriname this coming January to see these turtles... but i was subsequently told that the best time was may through august... so do me a favor and take some more pics for me ok? Try and find me some marvelous hatchlings too! :D
